If you fly almost every other week, you will probably get bored of the in-flight entertainment that Qantas offers. What if I tell you, Qantas is planning to offer free, yes FREE, Netflix, Foxtel and Spotify streaming on their domestic planes in the near future?
Welcome to a whole new world of in-flight entertainment. Soon, Qantas will be offering these premium streaming services on selected domestic routes. According to Qantas, you will soon be able to catch your favourite TV shows, movies, music, and even live sport when the airline switches on their hi-speed satellite streaming network. This hi-speed satellite network which runs on the latest NBN technologies is capable of speeds up to ten times faster than previous in-flight wifi.
Everytime you fly with Qantas, whether you have a premium account with Spotify, Netflix, Foxtel or not, all three platforms will be available for free to Qantas passengers. The offers look somewhat like this,
Spotify – Free 30-day subscription to their premium service
Netflix – Free access to entire catalogue of movies and TV shows for 30 days
Foxtel – Three days of free access to their app every time you fly, no sign up needed
The good thing is, if you were unable to finish your movie while you were in the air, you can still continue to help yourself to the catalogue when you are back on the ground. I foresee a future where preloaded in-flight entertainment will be a thing of the past and speedy streaming services will be what lies ahead.
