Lounge Review: Korean Air Incheon Airport

Date:

I was flying MAS from Incheon to Kuala Lumpur. MAS uses the Korean Air Lounge located at Concourse A.

The lounge was simple and bare. I only have one word for a national airline operating a lounge out of their home – disappointing. The seats were old and the food was limited.

The lounge was also shared with other non-Skyteam elite members. Maybe that was the reason why the lounge seemed so used and dated.

I actually like the entrance to the lounge. It is located on the upper level. It is bright and airy and a feel of minimalist.

As soon as you enter the lounge, you are greeted with a KAL 787 Dreamliner model plane. I like it.

The seating area was bright and airy. However, the green sofas were old and the PVC leather has cracked. The seating space were plenty and decent. However, the furniture seem to tell a different story.

This is the smoking room. Not bad, you can smoke and watch TV inside.

The wine rack. Impressed? No.

The food was a little limited as well. Somehow, not very generous when you think of all the unlimited small dishes Korean restaurants usually offer before you are served your main dish.

I was at the lounge at about 10am. I guess breakfast are meant to be limited.

I really really really dislike the toilet. It is black. It is ugly and looks dirty to me. It just is so disconnected with the rest of the lounge.

I was actually quite disappointed with the Korean Air Lounge at Incheon. Korean Air is a great product but I cannot say the same for their lounge. I am not sure… but I do hope the lounge is due for a refresh soon.
