Hotel Review: Tune by AirAsia, Kuala Lumpur International Airport

AirAsia might be the World’s Best Low Cost Carrier but many might not know that Kuala Lumpur (its’ home base) has a dedicated low cost carrier terminal affectionately known as KLIA2. Changi might have just revealed its Jewel shopping precinct but KLIA2 has had its’ own version, The Gateway, for quite a few years and today remains to be one of the world’s largest airport shopping mall. Whenever one arrives or departs from this airport, there is no way into and out of the terminal without going through the mall!

Connected to the mall is Tune Hotel KLIA2, a very conveniently located and extremely busy transit hotel for those on longer layovers. It is not a 5-star hotel by any stretch of imagination but it does a pretty good job in providing a welcome respite in between flights.

Flight Review: TK168 Turkish Airlines Singapore-Melbourne Economy Class (Inaugural)

On March 2, 2024, TK168 departed from Singapore to Melbourne. Due to a last-minute rescheduling, the flight was light, with only around 50 passengers in Economy. However, Business Class appeared full, likely due to VIPs and media accompanying Dr. Ahmet Bolat, the Chairman of Turkish Airlines. The entire Business Class section was reserved for VIPs.
