Hotel Review: Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

The Sheraton Grand Sydney is truly a grand old dame in the heart of Sydney’s busy CBD. Located right across from Hyde Park, this hotel boasts spacious rooms with panoramic views of the park and the sea in the distance too. It is only minutes away on foot to the most business, shopping and dining addresses in Sydney.

During this stay, I applied my Platinum Suite Night Award to this booking and was successful in securing an upgrade to a very large King Suite with views of the park.

Club Sheraton is one of my favourite spots in the hotel. It is such a great place to work in with great views and service from a very attentive team. The food and beverage presentations in the Club are not to be missed.

Whilst the Feast Restaurant was under renovation during our stay, the hotel used the Lobby Lounge area as a makeshift breakfast venue. It was very busy on every morning of our stay and had a decent spread. One of of the most unique item during breakfast was the “Salad Garden” where you literally pick your salad from a live plant!

The hotel also has a very well equipped fitness centre, an indoor pool and a spa.

Flight Review: TK168 Turkish Airlines Singapore-Melbourne Economy Class (Inaugural)

However, Business Class appeared full, likely due to VIPs and media accompanying Dr. Ahmet Bolat, the Chairman of Turkish Airlines. The entire Business Class section was reserved for VIPs.
