Hotel Review: Hilton Garden Inn Nusa Dua, Bali

Date:

I recently stayed at a newly opened Hilton hotel and wanted to share my experience from a Hilton Honors Diamond member’s point of view. The hotel has only been open for about three months, and that newness really shaped how the stay felt overall. Some parts were already running very smoothly, while others were clearly still settling in.

From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was easy and efficient. The front desk staff were confident, friendly, and well organized. I was recognized as a Diamond member right away, which I always appreciate. As part of my MyWay benefit, I received breakfast during my stay, and I was also upgraded to a pool view room without needing to ask. The check-in was quick, with no waiting or confusion, and everything was explained clearly. For a new hotel, this was a strong first impression.

The room itself felt fresh and clean, just as you would expect from a property that recently opened. The pool view was a nice touch, especially later in the day, but what surprised me most was how quiet it was. Even with the pool nearby, there was no noise issue at all. The hotel overall felt very calm and peaceful. Because it’s still new and not fully busy yet, there were no crowded hallways, loud guests, or busy common areas. I slept well each night and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

The room was comfortable and practical. The bed was good, the air conditioning worked properly, and everything in the room felt new and well maintained. There was nothing fancy or overdone, but everything worked as it should. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want when traveling, especially if your main goal is rest and comfort.

The hotel has a small bar near the common areas, which was a nice place to sit and relax in the evening. It’s not a large or busy bar, but it fit the quiet vibe of the hotel and was convenient for a quick drink. The pool area was simple but pleasant, with enough pool chairs to relax without feeling crowded. Since the hotel isn’t fully booked yet, it was easy to find a chair and enjoy the calm surroundings.

There is also a small marketplace on site that sells snacks, drinks, and a few local souvenirs. This was handy for grabbing something quick without leaving the hotel. For longer stays, the hotel offers a laundry area, which is always useful, especially for travelers who prefer to pack light. There is also a small gym available. It’s not large, but it has the basic equipment needed for a simple workout, and it was clean and quiet when I used it.

Breakfast was provided through the MyWay benefit rather than being automatically included for all guests. The food itself was okay. Everything was fresh and fine to eat, but the selection was basic and nothing really stood out. It did the job, but it wasn’t memorable. The restaurant staff were friendly and polite, though it was clear they were still new and learning. Service moved a bit slowly at times, and there were moments when they seemed unsure. Still, their attitude was positive, and with more experience, this part of the stay will likely improve.

There was a noticeable difference between the restaurant team and the front desk. While the restaurant staff felt new, the front desk team was very efficient and professional. Any questions or small requests were handled quickly, and communication was clear. This helped balance out the weaker breakfast experience and made the stay feel smooth overall.

One of the biggest positives of this hotel was how quiet it was. Since it has only been open for a few months, it hasn’t reached full occupancy yet. That made the entire stay more relaxing. There was no rush in the mornings, no long waits for elevators, and no sense of being in a crowded hotel. If you enjoy a peaceful environment, this is a big plus.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I felt the stay offered good value. The room upgrade, efficient front desk service, and calm setting made a real difference. While breakfast was average and the restaurant staff are still gaining experience, these are small issues that will likely improve as the hotel matures.

Overall, this hotel shows a lot of promise. Being so new, it’s still finding its rhythm, but the basics are already strong. Clean rooms, a quiet atmosphere, and excellent front desk service made this a pleasant stay. I would be happy to return in the future, especially once the staff gains more experience and the hotel fully settles in.
