Hotel Review: Ibis Saigon Airport Hotel

Date:

So near yet so far! That’s how I felt this hotel was in relation to the airport. As I stood at the arrivals kerbside waiting for the shuttle bus, I told myself if only I could walk there, I would be in bed sooner! Nevertheless, the shuttle bus operated like clockwork despite the horrendous Vietnamese traffic.

Whilst most Ibis properties are generally rated 3-stars, or even 2-stars in some parts of Europe, this was rated as a 4-stars property! It sure deserves this rating because everything during my stay was flawless. Check-in was swift, property was clean, bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful, what more could one want on a short layover.

The hotel has a Starbucks on-site in the lobby and because of my limited time at the hotel, I did not get to check out the rooftop viewing terrace and pool which apparently boasts superb tarmac views!
