Hotel Review: West Hotel – Curio By Hilton, Sydney

West Hotel is a great little hotel tucked away in a quiet corner of Sydney’s CBD. Being a Curio, one can always expect something quirky or unique, West sure did not disappoint with a “fishing net” in the middle of the lobby! 😉 Rooms albeit on the smaller side were chic enough and very clean. The suites were gorgeous though! Every hotel team member were beyond friendly and helpful, no one can be faulted with anything. Special credits to Nathan at reception for being so flexible with my special requests. Extraordinary Hilton team members like Nathan are my constant reminder why my many years of Diamond membership and continued loyalty to the brand is absolutely worthwhile!

This stay took place in between the long lockdowns of Melbourne and Sydney in the middle of 2021.

Flight Review: TK168 Turkish Airlines Singapore-Melbourne Economy Class (Inaugural)

On March 2, 2024, TK168 departed from Singapore to Melbourne. Due to a last-minute rescheduling, the flight was light, with only around 50 passengers in Economy. However, Business Class appeared full, likely due to VIPs and media accompanying Dr. Ahmet Bolat, the Chairman of Turkish Airlines. The entire Business Class section was reserved for VIPs.
