Hotel Review: Le Meridien Petaling Jaya

0

Petaling Jaya is a satellite city to Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is home to many factories and offices as well as many suburban residential areas. There is no shortage of shopping and dining options in this part of town. However, there are only a few international chain hotels and one of them, which happens to be my favourite, is the Le Meridien Petaling Jaya.

The hotel is connected to Paradigm Mall and has easy access to the main highways which connect Petaling Jaya to Kuala Lumpur and the rest of the state.

The drop-off area is very small and has a bell desk. Six elevators are there to quickly whisk all arriving guests to the main lobby at the second level. I took a quick look at the lobby and was then escorted by the bellman to the Club Lounge on Level 29 to be checked-in.

Check-in was very prompt and one of my rooms was upgraded to a King Suite. Our bags were delivered to our room whilst we enjoyed a few drinks and some snacks during the evening cocktail hour. Food were aplenty and it was sufficient to consider it as dinner for the night!

After our dinner, it was time to retire for the evening. First stop, the King Suite.

Nest stop, the Deluxe Room.

We started our next morning with a full buffet breakfast at the main restaurant, Pasar Baru, which translates to New Market. Although the restaurant was a little too dark for my liking, the ambience was truly Malaysian with its different kitchens reflective of the main Malaysian ethnicities.

During our stay, I also found time to relax by the pool as well as in the pool taking in the beautiful views of Kuala Lumpur in the distance!
