Hotel Review: Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu is located in the heart of the city’s market area and is surrounded by shops, local eateries, restaurants, bars and is within walking distance to much of what the city has to offer. It is the perfect place to stay when touring this beautiful city on the island of Borneo.

Our recent stay here was in a King One Bedroom Suite. We checked-in at the main reception in the lobby and was promptly whisked to the Club Lounge as our suite was not quite ready that morning.

Whilst we were enjoying our coffees and the beautiful views of the South China Sea, someone came to us with our keys to our suite.

The pool area although small was still very inviting. The pool bar offered a decent selection of drinks and snacks too.

The evening cocktail session at the Club Lounge was a very memorable event because it was not too busy and the sunset views did not disappoint.

Breakfast the next morning was a very elaborate affair too at the main restaurant in the lobby.

Flight Review: TK168 Turkish Airlines Singapore-Melbourne Economy Class (Inaugural)

On March 2, 2024, TK168 departed from Singapore to Melbourne. Due to a last-minute rescheduling, the flight was light, with only around 50 passengers in Economy. However, Business Class appeared full, likely due to VIPs and media accompanying Dr. Ahmet Bolat, the Chairman of Turkish Airlines. The entire Business Class section was reserved for VIPs.
