Lounge Review: Rose Business Lounge Saigon Airport

0

During a recent layover at Ho Chi Minh City, I had the opportunity to spend some time in the lesser known Rose Business Lounge located near Gates 8/9 at Saigon Airport. This is not one of the ‘Priority Pass’ business lounges. Those two are Jasmine and Apricot. I have written one of them here. As a traveler who values a comfortable and quiet space to catch up on work or relax, I was curious to see what the lounge had to offer.

Ambiance and Comfort: The Rose Business Lounge had a simple and functional design. While it wasn’t the most luxurious lounge I’ve been to, it provided a comfortable environment with ample seating options. The lighting was filled with natural light with floor to ceiling windows, and the overall ambiance was calm and relaxed, away from the crowds outside.

Amenities: In terms of amenities, the lounge offered the basics. There was reliable Wi-Fi available, which was crucial for checking emails and staying connected. The seating had access to power outlets, allowing me to charge my devices without any hassle. While the amenities were minimal, they were adequate for a short stay.

Workspace Options: The lounge had a mix of seating arrangements, from cozy armchairs to simple work desks. While it didn’t have private cubicles or dedicated meeting rooms, I found a quiet corner where I could work without distractions. It seemed like a suitable place for individual work or a casual business discussion.

Refreshments: The refreshments at the lounge were basic but satisfying. There was a self-serve area with a variety of snacks and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks. It was a convenient way to grab a quick bite and a drink while waiting for my next flight.

Conclusion: In a nutshell, the Rose Business Lounge offers a no-frills environment for business class / elite travelers seeking a respite while waiting for their flight. While it may lack some of the more elaborate amenities found in upscale business class lounges, it serves its purpose well. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a straightforward space to catch up on tasks or unwind, this lounge does not offer entry to third-party Lounge Pass holders.
