As frequent travelers and Platinum Bonvoy members, we’ve come to appreciate the nuances that separate a good hotel from a truly memorable one. Over the Christmas period, we had an unplanned stay at the Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel, located just steps from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The location alone made a strong first impression—just a short walk from the terminal doors to the hotel lobby, with no need for shuttles or taxis.

Upon check-in, our Platinum status was acknowledged immediately and warmly, and we were upgraded to a Club Room. The room was modern and stylish, with an aesthetic that leaned toward upscale comfort without unnecessary extravagance. It came equipped with all the amenities we expected at this tier: a large, comfortable bed with crisp linens, a well-designed workspace with ample outlets and good lighting, and a spacious bathroom with both a rainfall shower and premium toiletries. The soundproofing was excellent—something we always notice in airport hotels—and we enjoyed uninterrupted sleep each night despite being so close to the runway.
One of the standout perks of the upgrade was access to the Club Lounge. During our stay, the lounge was never crowded and offered a relaxing, quiet space to unwind, read, or catch up on work. From morning through evening, the food and beverage offerings were more generous than we expected. Breakfasts included a continental selection with the welcome addition of hot items like scrambled eggs and sausages. Throughout the day, there were snacks, soft drinks, coffee, and tea, and in the evenings, a rotating selection of hot and cold appetizers was served—easily enough for a light dinner. Alcoholic beverages, including wine and beer, were also available at no charge during the evening hours.
What stood out most, however, was the consistently warm and attentive service. Staff regularly refreshed trays and checked in discreetly to ensure guests had everything they needed. It never felt transactional—it felt genuinely welcoming and hospitable.
An unexpected highlight of our stay was the option to order room service and enjoy it in the lounge. We took advantage of this more than once, and the staff were always accommodating. The room service menu was concise but well-curated, with both international selections and local Polish dishes. On Christmas Eve, we ordered traditional beetroot soup with mushroom dumplings followed by roast duck with cabbage and potatoes—beautifully prepared and full of festive flavor. Enjoying this while seated in the comfort of the lounge made for a cozy yet elevated dining experience.
As health-conscious travelers, we always make it a point to explore hotel fitness and wellness facilities, and the Renaissance Warsaw did not disappoint. The fitness centre was open 24/7 and, while compact, was clean, bright, and well-equipped. It included several treadmills and ellipticals, a full set of free weights, resistance machines, yoga mats, and exercise balls. Towels and water were readily available—small but important details that were handled flawlessly. It was quiet during our early morning workouts, and we were able to complete our routines without any hassle.
Adjacent to the fitness area is the hotel’s wellness suite, which includes an indoor pool, sauna, and relaxation space. The pool is sleek, more suited for unwinding than swimming laps, and is surrounded by ambient lighting and large windows that bring in natural light during the day and offer atmospheric reflections at night. The Finnish-style sauna was warm, fragrant, and calming—exactly what we needed after long days or workouts. It quickly became one of our favorite parts of the hotel, especially given the chilly December weather outside.
The festive spirit extended throughout the hotel. The lobby was tastefully decorated with a tall Christmas tree, garlands, and warm golden lights that gave the space a welcoming holiday glow. These thoughtful seasonal touches added an extra layer of warmth to an already outstanding stay.
Overall, our experience at the Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel exceeded expectations on multiple levels. It checked every box we look for in a business-class hotel—efficient service, great food, clean and stylish accommodations—but what truly set it apart were the thoughtful details and the professionalism of the staff. In the morning, we simply walked straight out the front door and were inside the airport terminal in under a minute—it doesn’t get more convenient than that. Whether for a planned trip or a last-minute stop, we wouldn’t hesitate to return—and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
