Qantas recently launched a “Premium Lounge Entry” for the exclusive use of its’ top tier frequent flyers as well as oneWorld Emerald and Sapphire members. This facility is located within the existing Brisbane Domestic terminal and will be sure to be a hit amongst business travellers because you can get from your car to the lounge in no time.
Thanks to the dedicated check-in area (with bag drop too!) and an exclusive escalator leading to the newly renovated Business Lounge. Qantas Club card holders and Gold flyers can also look forward to a new lounge experience later this year.
Seems like more airlines are moving towards this concept of an exclusive check-in area for their premium customers and top tier frequent flyers. I like it! It usually means faster service because they tend to have more experienced staff members who are probably better at solving problems when they do arise.
Not only that – passengers using these areas are almost guaranteed to be seasoned travellers so security processing tends to be less tedious too – we have all seen that guy in front of us not knowing what to do when going through security!
Another oneworld premium check-in lounge to watch out for this year would be British Airways’ Terminal 5 First Wing!
