Hotel Review: Hilton Kuala Lumpur (2016 refurbished)

Perhaps, the greatest perk of being a Diamond Hilton Honors is the occasional surprise you get when you’re told you’ve been upgraded to a suite. Whilst I have stayed in this exact same suite several times over the years, this was my first time back in this room post refurbishment.

My favourite hotel in Kuala Lumpur is the Hilton. This hotel isn’t the most luxurious in KL but sure is my home whenever my travel brings me to this city. It’s always coming home to where you feel belonged and welcomed by very familiar faces!

This Executive King Suite at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur opens into a very spacious living and dining area. In fact, I could easily get lost in this room when I travel alone!

It also has a guest bathroom!

The “corridor” from the lounge to the bedroom has a rather private work desk and a big walk in wardrobe!

The bedroom is typical of rooms at this property. The open plan bathroom is massive!

Flight Review: CX439 Airbus 321NEO New Business Class ICN-HKG

Flew Cathay Pacific's new business class on their A321Neo (adorable "mini racoon" nickname?). Huge upgrade from their older domestic seats! The wider, comfy seats impressed me. But the star was the recline. Unlike some airlines (think budget carriers), it wasn't just a footrest and lean back. This seat reclined like a rocking chair, distributing weight evenly and giving great back support – perfect for shorter flights!
