Fare Alert: $369 to Athens From Australia

Scoot, the low-cost long haul arm of Singapore Airlines, are offering fares to Athens via Singapore from as low as $369. That is, if you are able to squeeze whatever you are going to bring on your trip into a 7kg carry-on. The travel dates to Athens are 15 July to 28 October 2017.

I did a quick search but I could not find the cheapest tickets out of Sydney. I believe they are being advertised from $399.

So just for the flights alone, the cheapest I could get today – out of Sydney – was about $900. However, the second leg from Singapore to Athens has a layover of nearly 24 hours – thats perfect if you want to explore the sunny island a bit – otherwise bring a sleeping bag! The entire journey to Athens will take 41 hours.

Just for comparison sake, the cheapest full service flight I can get from Sydney to Athens on a full service flight cost nearly $1800 on Qatar Airways on the same dates.

So if time is on your side and ‘cents’ is not, Scoot is your best bet.
