What’s in a name? LEVEL – not sure who came up with this but I guess you either level up or be levelled down. In this case, British Airways’ parent company, International Airline Group (IAG), has (finally) decided to ‘level-down’ and play the low-cost game says IAG CEO Willie Walsh.
“LEVEL is an exciting new IAG airline brand which will bring a stylish and modern approach to flying at prices that are even more affordable.”
I am not sure what to think of the new livery but the idea of a $149 dollar ticket not only across the Atlantic but to the west coast of USA is pretty tempting for many I am sure. It does make travelling to cosmopolitan city of SF and the playground that is LA very accessible!
Frequent flyers will apparently be able to earn points on flights operated by LEVEL. Will they receive status benefits? That would probably be more important to most.
Flights will launch on June 1st and tickets are already on sale. Fares for economy class will be – seat only – and you have to pay for everything else. There is also the option to fly Premium Economy and theses fares comes with checked baggage, seat selection, meals, and entertainment.
Flights on Level are now on sale at here.
