Lounge Review: Marhaba Lounge Ninoy Aquino International Airport

The Marhaba lounge, also known as the Priority Pass Lounge, is located near Gate 9 at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It is probably the second smallest lounge I have ever visited, after the Thai Airways Business Class lounge in Phuket International Airport. Despite its size, it provides a much-needed respite from the crowds and long queues at the check-in counters before immigration.

The food and drinks section, relative to the size of the lounge, is limited.

Despite the lounge’s small size, it has shower rooms, which are a saving grace if you have just completed a long flight and are looking forward to some rest before your next journey.

Had I not received a lounge invitation from the airline, I likely would not have paid full price for entry, unless I were in dire need of a shower or a quiet place to relax. While there are Starbucks and cafes available in the public waiting area, seats were hard to come by during the time I was there.

Flight Review: CX439 Airbus 321NEO New Business Class ICN-HKG

Flew Cathay Pacific's new business class on their A321Neo (adorable "mini racoon" nickname?). Huge upgrade from their older domestic seats! The wider, comfy seats impressed me. But the star was the recline. Unlike some airlines (think budget carriers), it wasn't just a footrest and lean back. This seat reclined like a rocking chair, distributing weight evenly and giving great back support – perfect for shorter flights!
