Royal Air Maroc Joins OneWorld

April 1st has come and gone. Royal Air Maroc has quietly become OneWorld’s latest full member. It is very unfortunate that this latest and most welcomed addition to the alliance was not given their due fanfare, not because of reluctance but because of the global situation we are all in together, right now.

I could still remember watching the live streaming of ceremonies that took place when Malaysia Airlines and then subsequently Sri Lankan Airlines joined the alliance. It is so heartwarming to see the many colours of the member airlines’ cabin crews’ uniforms that form this wonderful alliance come together.

Despite the lack of fanfare, the airline’s website has been updated to reflect its membership with the OneWorld logo plastered prominently. OneWorld has also included Royal Air Maroc’s logo on their website banner.

I am sure it will not be too long before we can all fly again, and I for one am very excited to jump on another Royal Air Maroc as a OneWorld flyer.

For now, stay home, stay safe!
